Narrow the gap for all Maryland students.

The bold vision of the Maryland State Department of Education Division of Early Intervention and Special Education Services (DEI/SES) is that all students, including students with disabilities, will be ready for school, achieve in school, and be prepared for college, career, and community living.

Narrow The Gap

Our mission is to close existing gaps between children with disabilities and their non-disabled peers by fine-tuning our key measures of success and key strategies for implementation and expanding our innovative tools, resources, and evidence-based practices.

To your right, you can explore the three action imperatives that support this vision.
